the period in which Rodin lived. The two-day program presented talks, readings,
and music composed by composers in Europe and Japan who were contemporary with
Rodin, such as Claude Debussy, Koda Nobu, and Taki Rentaro, in order to show how
art, music, and literature were mutually influenced in and among Japan and Europe.

Section meeting 1: "How to establish contact with the local community"
Section meeting 2: "Construction of Networks"
Section meeting 3: "How to approach the business community for support of artistic activities"
|
|
|
This seminar series was initiated in 1996 by the Toyota Motor with the purpose
of seeking support of the business community for artistic activities. The session
this year discussed how art management should work in order to be a go-between for
artists and the local community. The participants were required beforehand to
prepare their own tentative plans for presentation at respective meetings.
It was recognized that the facilities that enable the staff to further develop
their art management abilities should be enforced.(N.A.)
